Hotel Seating Durability: 100,000+ Double Rubs, Bleach-Cleanable Crypton & Hardwood Frames

From guestroom desk chairs to high-traffic lobby sofas, commercial hotel seating must combine aesthetic luxury with industrial stain and abrasion resistance. Understanding double rubs, moisture barriers, and frame joinery protects hotel asset value.

The Wyzenbeek Abrasion Test: Understanding Double Rubs

In commercial hospitality, standard residential fabrics (15,000 double rubs) wear through in a matter of months. Contract hotel seating requires fabrics rated at minimum 50,000 double rubs for guestrooms and 100,000+ double rubs for public lobby and dining spaces using the standard Wyzenbeek test method (ASTM D4157).

Crypton & Nanotex: Moisture Barriers & Bleach Cleanability

Spills and bodily fluids are inevitable in hospitality. Crypton fabrics feature an impermeable integrated moisture barrier that prevents liquids from reaching the internal foam cushion. Coupled with antimicrobial treatments and bleach-cleanable chemistry, these textiles allow housekeeping to sanitize seating without degrading fabric color or softness.

Internal Frame Joinery & High-Density Foams

Our commercial seating frames are constructed from kiln-dried hardwood with double-dowelled, glued, and corner-blocked structural joints. Cushions use high-resilience polyurethane foam meeting California Technical Bulletin 117-2013 flammability requirements.
